PAXRVR Awards more Multi-Million Dollar Contracts


Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Patuxent River, Md., is being awarded an $8,829,289 ceiling priced order contract for spares for the CV-22 Osprey. Work will be performed in Ridley Park, Pa. (69 percent) and Fort Worth, Texas (31 percent), and work is to be completed by December 2007. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point is the contracting activity (N00383-03-G-001B-0051).

General Electric Rolls-Royce Fighter Engine Team, LLC, Cincinnati, Ohio was awarded on Aug. 19, 2005, a $2,466,258,499 cost-plus-award-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the Joint Strike Fighter F136 System Development and Demonstration (SDD) Program. This contract provides for continued efforts required to meet SDD Program milestones and mitigate technical, schedule, and cost risk, resulting in the delivery of six flight test engines to Lockheed Martin. Work will be performed in Evandale, Ohio (60 percent); Indianapolis, Ind. (25 percent); and Bristol, United Kingdom (15 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-04-C-0093).

Research and Engineering Development Inc., Lexington Park, Md., is being awarded a $6,047,256 ceiling-priced modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-04-C-0011) to exercise an option for technical support for the Naval Air Systems Command, Human Systems Engineering Division (AIR-4.6). Efforts to be provided include program planning; operational requirements and operational concept studies; platform system/subsystem integration; functional and design studies; human system test and evaluation; acquisition engineering support; and training systems support. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md. (98 percent); Lexington Park, Md. (1 percent) and Andover, Mass. (1 percent) and is expected to be completed in August 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

ArmorWorks, LLC, Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded a $5,517,500 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 164 Light Weight Armor Replacement System (LWARS) kits and six interim spares for the CH-46E Helicopter, including field support services. Work will be performed in Tempe, Ariz., and is expected to be completed in December 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via an electronic request for proposals; three offers were received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-04-C-0139).
