Deputy Milton Pesante of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office was patrolling in the Mechanicsville area when he observed a vehicle traveling South on Mechanicsville Road. Deputy Pesante observed the vehicle cross the center line several times prior to activating his emergency equipment. Once the vehicle was stopped Deputy Pesante identified the driver as Suspect Aaron Dale Marlow age 24 of Mechanicsville.
Deputy Pesante detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from Suspect Marlow. Suspect Marlow was administered several standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed. Suspect Marlow was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office where he submitted to a Certified Breath Test. Suspect Marlow was subsequently charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Suspect Marlow is currently awaiting a Preliminary Inquiry court date.
