Charles County Police Reports; Robbery & Burglaries


ATTEMPTED STRONG ARMED ROBBERY: On Sept. 15 at 7:41 p.m., two men approached a 53-year-old Waldorf man who was exiting his vehicle in the parking lot of Korner Liquors at 3120 Old Washington Road in Waldorf. They forced the man back inside his vehicle, assaulted him and attempted unsuccessfully to steal his wallet. The suspects fled the scene on foot behind the business. The victim was treated on the scene by emergency services personnel. The suspects are described only as two back males. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer M. Thompson is investigating.

BURGLARY: Sometime between 1:30 p.m. Sept. 12 and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 14, suspect(s) forced entry into a residence in the 7000 block of Billingsley Road in White Plains stole a semi-automatic shotgun, a 12 gauge shotgun and a 27-inch television and fled the scene. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-743-2222. Officer R. Williams is investigating.

BURGLARY: On Sept. 12 at 10:45 a.m., a suspect entered a residence in the 200 block of Blair Road in Indian Head and stole a PlayStation 2 game system, a DVD player, several DVDs and a CD stereo with speakers. The suspect loaded the items into a blue Nike duffle bag that belonged to the victim and fled the scene. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-743-2222. Officer J. Richards is investigating.
