Michael Donnell Young of Indian Head Wanted in Connection With Vehicle Theft

The Charles County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant for a man who stole 18 cars from property on Stuckey Road in Indian Head in the beginning of October.

On Oct. 4, several victims called the Sheriff's Office to report their cars had been stolen from two lots in a residential area on Stuckey Road. Detectives began an investigation and identified Michael Donnell Young, 20, of Indian Head as the suspect. Detectives found that Young falsely represented himself as the owner of the vehicles and sold them to a towing company, which used a fork lift and a flat bed truck to remove the vehicles from the lots on Stuckey Road. The vehicles were all older models and some of them had been abandoned in the lots.

After selling the vehicles to the tow company, the tow company would strip the vehicles and sell the parts to salvage yards. Detectives were able to recover four of the vehicles, but the vehicles had already been stripped and were destroyed.
