Waldorf Man Arrested for Domestic Assault


On Oct. 22 at 9 a.m., Officer E. Baker responded to a residence in the 11900 block of Homestead Place in Waldorf for the domestic assault report.

Investigation revealed a 24-year-old woman became involved in a verbal argument with her 23-year-old boyfriend. During the argument, the man threw her to the floor, began choking her and punched her. The man then fled the residence toward King George, Va.

The Maryland Transportation Police stopped the man at the Harry Nice Bridge at 10:29 a.m. He was arrested and charged with second degree assault. He is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
