Cocaine Arrest Nets Probation Violator

On Dec. 27 at 10:11 p.m., members of the Charles County Sheriff's Office Tactical Response Squad responded to Linkins Road in Indian Head after learning of possible drug activity in the area. While conducting surveillance, officers observed a silver Cadillac enter Linkins Road and exit less than 10 minutes later. The officers attempted to follow the vehicle but the driver turned south onto Chicamuxen Road and accelerated at a high rate of speed. Officers stopped the vehicle in the 6200 block of Chicamuxen Road.

Investigation revealed one passenger, Angel Lea Hudson, 31, of Nanjemoy, was in possession of cocaine and the other passenger, Edward Edwin Carroll, 34, of Nanjemoy, was wanted for violation of probation. Hudson and Carroll were arrested. Hudson was charged with possession of cocaine and Carroll was served the warrant. They are being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending appearances before the District Court Commissioner. Officer J. Jones investigated.
