SMECO Employees Donate $17,925 to Center for Abused Persons

Employees of Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) recently donated $17,925 to the Center for Abused Persons (CAP) in Waldorf. The SMECO employees raised the money through fund-raising activities held in 2005. This represented the largest donation ever received by the Center for Abused Persons. CAP is a private, non-profit agency providing services to Charles County victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.
