POSSESSION OF CDS: 01/11/06 7:27 p.m. A vehicle traveling on MD Rt. 210 at MD Rt. 227 was stopped for the driver not wearing his seatbelt. Upon contact with the driver, Demond Brooks Sherrill, 25 years, of Hyattsville, marijuana residue was observed on the driver side window ledge. A probable cause search revealed suspected marijuana on Mr. Sherrill's person and in the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia was also located in the vehicle. Mr. Sherrill was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review. TFC J. THEFT/POSSESSION OF CDS: 01/13/06 5:49 p.m. TFC J. Edelen responded to the Home Depot in Waldorf for a theft report. Investigation revealed that Hazel Jean Leister, 37 years, of Bowie, attempted to steal approximately $800.00 worth of merchandise from the store. Ms. Leister was arrested and a search incident to arrest revealed suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Ms. Leister was subsequently charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. She was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
POSSESSION OF CDS: 01/16/06 5:21 p.m. A vehicle traveling northbound on U.S. Rt. 301 @ MD Rt. 925 was stopped for an occupant in the vehicle not wearing their seatbelt. Upon contact with the driver, an odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed the passenger, Christen Marie Siarmalis, 18 years, of Waldorf, had suspected marijuana in her purse and drug paraphernalia on her person. Ms. Siarmalis was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review. Tpr. C.
