Charles County: Recovered Stolen Vehicles, Burglary


RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLES: On Jan. 30 at 12:30 p.m., Officer D. Walker responded to a residence in the 3500 block of Lindsey Place in the Charles County portion of Brandywine after a man called to report he found an all-terrain vehicle that was possibly stolen covered up in the woods behind the residence. Officer Walker arrived and determined the ATV had been stolen in Prince George's County in January. During the investigation, Officer Walker and the man also found a dirt bike in the woods that belonged to the man. On Jan. 23, the man reported the dirt bike had been stolen from the shed behind his residence in the 3100 block of Malcolm Road. The officer recovered the dirt bike and released it back to its owner. Anyone with information regarding the stolen vehicles is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777.

BURGLARY: Sometime between 9 p.m. Jan. 29 and 8:30 p.m. Jan. 30, suspect(s) kicked in the front door of a residence in the 6000 block of Bicknell Road in Marbury, stole items from inside the home and fled the scene. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer R. Kimble is investigating.
