Three Cases of Damaged Property in Calvert County


Damaged Property

On February 17 at 7:30 a.m., Dep. C. Fischer responded to Stoney’s Restaurant at 3939 Oyster House Road in Broomes Island and met with the complainant for a destruction of property report. The complainant advised that he left the restaurant the previous evening, February 16 at approximately 9 p.m. When he returned the next morning he noticed that some windows had damage to them and the outside area of the restaurant had damage as well. The damage is estimated at $40.00. Dep. Fischer is continuing the investigation.

Damaged Property

The Fastop on Bayside Road in Chesapeake Beach reported a damaged door on February 20. Dfc. P. Wood responded and spoke with the manager who reported that sometime over the weekend the back glass door to the car wash facility was broken out. It appears to have happened between February 17 at 1:00 pm. and February 20 at 8:00 a.m. The damage is estimated at $300.00. This case will be investigated by Dfc. Wood.

Damaged Property

Sometime between February 20 and 21, it appears that an unknown person(s) kicked in a storage closet door in the laundry room of the Courtyards at Fishing Creek apartment building, located on Gordon Stinnett Avenue in Chesapeake Beach. Dfc. C. Childress responded and spoke with the maintenance person for the building, who also advised that the damage to the property is estimated at $150.00. Dfc. Childress will handle the investigation.
