Indian Head Boy Attempts to Elude Police on Dirt Bike


On March 7 about 6 p.m., Officer M. Davidson observed someone operating a dirt bike near Heritage Knolls Place in Indian Head. He attempted to stop the bike but it left the roadway and eluded him. He responded to Smallwood Estates nearby and observed the bike on the roadway again. After a short pursuit, the bike left the roadway again and entered the woods. PFC Davidson began an investigation and successfully identified the driver of the bike as a 14-year-old Indian Head boy. He located the boy at a residence and charged him with attempting to elude police in a cruiser, attempting to elude police by failing to stop, operating an unregistered vehicle, reckless driving, negligent driving and driving without a license. The boy was released to a parent.
