Waldorf Argument Leads to Stabbing

On April 12 at 2 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Garner Avenue in Waldorf for the report of a stabbing. Investigation revealed a 37-year-old man and Frank MacAdams Leopard, 32, both of Waldorf, were arguing outside a residence on nearby Clonfert Court in Waldorf when Leopard stabbed the victim in the chest and hand. He then fled the scene.

The victim was flown to Prince George’s General Hospital, where his injuries are said to be non-life-threatening. Officers located Leopard a short time later at a family member’s residence and arrested him. Leopard was charged with first degree assault and is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review. The accused and the victim are known to each other and the argument is believed to be drug related. Det. C. Shankster investigated.
