MSP Reports for Calvert County


POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 5-5, 1:36 PM, Rt. 2/4, Huntingtown, TFC Slifer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the operator, TFC Slifer detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and two baggies of suspected marijuana and a CDS smoking device were recovered. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was Ashley Nicole Hollins, 21, of St. Leonard. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 5-5, 7:00 PM, Rt. 2/4, Prince Frederick, TPR Bigham stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the operator, John Frederick Marshall, Jr., 23, of Huntingtown, TPR Bigham detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and a baggie of suspected marijuana and a CDS smoking device were recovered. Mr. Marshall was charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 5-5, between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM, an unknown culprit damaged the automated entrance gate to the recreation area of Shores of Calvert, Dunkirk. TFC Lass is handling the investigation.

THEFT: During the early morning hours of 5-7, an unknown culprit removed a 3’ x 5’ US flag from in front of a residence on Solomons Is. Rd., Solomons. CPL Oresik is handling the investigation.

BURGLARY: Between 5-5 & 5-7, an unknown culprit forcibly entered a shed on White Sands Dr., Lusby, and removed a Honda racing dirt bike, model CRF250R, red/white/black in color. TFC Johns is handling the investigation.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 5-7, 1:00 PM, Cox Rd., Huntingtown, TPR Ewig stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the operator, TPR Ewig detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and 6 baggies of suspected marijuana and a CDS smoking device were recovered. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was William Daniel Nelson, 29, of Prince Frederick. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

BURGLARY: On 5-8, 1:15 AM, Cincinnati Ave., North Beach, the homeowner awoke and heard someone in his shed. Upon exiting his residence, the unknown culprit had fled the area. Stolen property included a blue tool bag containing several pieces of equipment used for installing home satellite dishes. TFC Schmidt is handling the investigation.
