CDS Violation

On August 15 at 2:59 p.m. Dfc. Joseph E. Windsor conducted a traffic stop on St. Leonard Road in St. Leonard. Dfc. Windsor detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the drivers' side window. A search of the vehicle revealed suspected drug paraphernalia used to contain cocaine. The driver, later identified as Roger W. Buckler III, 18 of Hollywood, was charged on a criminal citation for possession of CDS paraphernalia.

Theft

Two bicycles were stolen from the front yard of a home on 12th Street in Chesapeake Beach between the hours of 10:00 p.m. on August 16 ant 3:00 a.m. on August 17. The bicycles, a girl's lime green Mount and a girl's blue "Trek", are valued at $100.00. Dep. Brian C. Wendland is handling the investigation.

CDS Violation

Cpl. Kent Gregory initiated a traffic stop on August 17 at 9:18 p.m. in the Bob Evans Restaurant parking lot. Gregory detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana. The driver, a juvenile, and passenger, later identified as Joshua T. Butler, 19, of Huntingtown, were both arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. The juvenile was charged on a youth report and released to parents and Butler was charged and taken to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

Damaged Property

Two victims on Woodland Lane in Chesapeake Beach advised Dep. Brian C. Wendland that the windows in their vehicles had been smashed sometime overnight between August 17 and 18. Damage to the two vehicles is estimated at $900.00. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Wendland at 410-535-2800.

Thefts

Dep. Mark A. Robshaw responded to Thunderbird Drive in Lusby on August 19 for a theft report. The victim advised that $900.00 worth of CD's were stolen from her locked vehicle sometime overnight. Robshaw will continue the investigation.

On August 20 a victim reported to Dep. David Canning that $500.00 worth of items had been stolen from his unlocked vehicle on Hawthorne Court in Lusby. An Everstart battery and a Hollie fuel pump were among the stolen items. Canning will continue the investigation.
