Bomb Threat at McDonough High School


POMFRET, Md. - According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, on Nov. 14 at 6:50 a.m., officers responded to McDonough High School located at 7165 Marshall Corner Road in Pomfret for the report of a bomb threat.

The officers learned that a suspect called the school and made the threat. The school’s principal had evacuated faculty, staff, and students from the school.

Sgt. V. Weaver, Cpl. R. Leukhardt and their K9 partners searched the building. They did not locate any explosives or suspicious items. Faculty and students were allowed back in the school at 8:41 a.m.
