Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Two vehicles were broken into on December 19 between the hours of 4:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. and over $2800.00 worth of property was stolen. The two vehicles, both locked, had been parked in front of a home in the 6700 block of Solomons Island Road North in Sunderland. Dep. Aaron R. Locke is continuing the investigation.

CDS VIOLATION: Cpl. Anthony Moschetto conducted a traffic stop on December 20 at 2:00 p.m. on Coster Road in Lusby. The driver and passenger, both 16-year-old juveniles, were found to have suspected marijuana and were each charged with possession of marijuana on a youth report and released to a parent.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On December 20 a victim on Flagstaff Road in Lusby reported to Dep. Brian Wendland that it appeared that her door had been kicked and the doorjamb was broken. It happened sometime overnight. Entry to the home was not made and nothing was taken. The damage is estimated at $800.00.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Unknown suspects damaged several landscape lights located at the entrance to the Bayview Hills community on Cox Road in Chesapeake Beach. The damage, estimated at $120.00, appears to have happened sometime between December 19 and 21 at 7:00 in the morning. DFC Jeffrey H. Elliott is handling the investigation.

BURGLARY: Unknown suspects entered an unlocked porch on the front of a home on Dresser Avenue in Prince Frederick and disturbed numerous items. It happened on December 22 between 5:45 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. DFC Naecker will continue the investigation.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: A victim on San Jose Lane in Lusby reported to Dep. Mark Robshaw that his vehicle, an unlocked Chrysler van with the keys inside, was stolen from in front of his residence on December 23 between 12:45 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. The vehicle was later located abandoned on Gringo Road in Lusby. Robshaw is continuing the investigation.

POSSESSION OF CDS, RESISTING ARREST: Dep. Scott Brown conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was exceeding the posted speed limit on Maryland Rt. 4 and Fox Run Blvd. in Prince Frederick on December 24 at 1:54 a.m. While conducting a search incident to arrest, the driver, later identified as Iris B. Marcum, 21 of San Diego, CA was found to have suspected marijuana and a schedule III drug (Hydrocodone) in her possession. Marcum put up a struggle but was ultimately arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule III drug and resisting arrest.
