Middletown Road to Reopen To Thru Traffic

WALDORF, Md. - The Charles County Department of Planning and Growth Management announced that Middletown Road between Billingsley Road and Smallwood Drive will be open to traffic on or soon after March 15, 2007. Weather conditions may affect the opening.

Message signs will posted to advise motorists of the opening. In addition, there will be a new traffic pattern on Middletown Road north of Smallwood Drive.

Although portions of the new roadway will be open to traffic, some projects are still under construction. Officials are urging motorists to use caution while traveling through the work zones.

Completion of the Middletown Road project is scheduled for November of this year.
