PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - On Tuesday, May 8 at 8:18 p.m., a ten-year-old girl from North Beach was struck by a vehicle in front of St. Anthony's Church on Chesapeake Ave. in North Beach after she apparently ran into oncoming traffic. A 2005 Toyota Corolla driven by Kimberly J. McGown, 23, of North Beach, was unable to stop in time and struck the child.

The girl was flown by MSP Trooper 7 to Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C. for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say no charges will be filed against the driver of the vehicle.
