MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 5-31, 2:21 PM, Stock Dr., Lusby, TPR Towers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A CDS scan conducted by DFC Gregory and K-9 Robby, CCSO, led to the discovery of suspected marijuana in the vehicle. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana was a 17-year-old male, of Lusby. After processing, he was released to a parent.

THEFT: On 5-31, between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM, an unknown culprit entered a vehicle in the Fox Run Shopping Center, Prince Frederick, and removed a Motorola ZX6100 cellphone. SGT Wobbleton is handling the investigation.

BURGLARY: Between 5-27 and 6-2, an unknown culprit forcibly entered a residence on Old Bayside Rd., Chesapeake Beach, and removed a Durabrand telephone. TPR Korn is handling the investigation.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 6-3, 12:55 PM, TFC Keen, TFC Lass, and TPR Donaldson responded to a motor vehicle accident on Rt. 2/4, Prince Frederick. While examining the damage, TFC Keen and TFC Lass detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and suspected marijuana and CDS paraphernalia were recovered. After receiving medical treatment for possible injuries at CMH, the driver and passenger were released and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack. Arrested for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was Kelvin Patrick Smith, 23, of Sharpsburg, MD; arrested for possession of CDS paraphernalia and DUI was Jacob Delbert Klutz, 25, of College Park, MD. After processing, the two were transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
