Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

DOP: A shed behind a home on Sheridan Drive in Owings was spray painted causing $500 in damage overnight on June 4. Dep. Thomas Rickard is investigating.

THEFT: On June 4, a Carrier air conditioning unit was taken from a residence under construction on H.G. Trueman Rd. in Lusby. The unit is valued at $3000. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC David Gatton at 410-535-2800.

BURGLARY: A home on Hallowing Lane in Prince Frederick was burglarized on June 4 between 6:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. A gold necklace with a San Francisco football logo valued at $200 was taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Joseph Windsor at 410-535-2800.

RESISTING ARREST: Dep. Carl Fischer conducted a traffic stop on June 5 at 10:50 p.m. in the area of the Thomas Johnson bridge in Solomons. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Mark H. Wall, 47, of Lusby knowingly obstructed and hindered Dep. Fischer from carrying out his duties. Wall was arrested and charged with assault, hindering and resisting arrest.

DOP: Vandals spray painted the rear wall of the Food Lion grocery store on H.G. Trueman Road in Lusby on June 7 causing $15 in damage. Dep. Brianne Gray is continuing the investigation.

THEFT: A victim reported to Dep. Mark Fitzgerald that her purse was stolen from her vehicle in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart store in Prince Frederick on June 7 between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. The vehicle had been locked but the windows had been left partially open. The purse and its' contents are valued at over $300.

CDS VIOLATION: On June 8 at 5:17 a.m. DFC Marty McCarroll conducted a traffic stop and after a consent to search was obtained, discovered that the two occupants of the vehicle were in possession of heroin and marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The stop occurred on Cox Road in Huntingtown. Carson O. Jones, 53, of Huntingtown was charged with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Judy L. Gardner, 43, of Lanham was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
