Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: Dep. Richard Cox responded to a home on Hallowing Point Lane in Prince Frederick on June 15 for a reported theft. The victim advised Cox that unknown suspect(s) removed a potted tomato plant from in front of his home sometime overnight. It is valued at $21.00. Cox will continue the investigation.

CDS VIOLATION: Dep. Edwin Bradley, assisted by Dep. Elvis Carter, Dep. April Litteral and MSP Trooper Sara Johns, responded to the area of Flag Harbor Beach in St. Leonard on June 11 at approximately 4:20 p.m. in response to a call for juveniles using suspected drugs. The juveniles were found to be in possession of suspected cocaine. A 17-year-old male of St. Leonard and a 16-year-old female of St. Leonard were both arrested and charged on youth reports for CDS possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were each released to a parent.

THEFT: A 100-pound propane tank valued at $300 was stolen from outside the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church located at 811 Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick sometime between June 5 and 12th. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Mark Fitzgerald at 410-535-2800.

DOP: Unknown suspect(s) caused $300 in damage to a sign board and a fence at the front gate of the Chesapeake Ranch Estates in Lusby. The damage occurred between June 11 at 2:00 a.m. and June 12 at 5:00 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Aaron Locke at 410-535-2800.

CDS VIOLATION: DFC Richard Cress conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Md. Rt. 4 and Oxford Way in Huntingtown on June 12 at 12:10 p.m. Cress discovered suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver, later identified as Justin D. Smith, 20 of Sunderland, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

CDS VIOLATION: On June 15 at 7:37 p.m. Cpl. Anthony Moschetto responded to the area of southbound Md. Rt. 4 in Prince Frederick for the report of a reckless driver. He observed the vehicle in the vicinity of Sixes Road being operated in a reckless manner. He conducted a traffic stop and after a consent to search, he discovered drugs and paraphernalia in the vehicle. Moschetto arrested Robbin L. Mitsdarfer, 38 of Smyrna, DE, and charged her with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A 15-year-old male of Prince Frederick was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on a youth report by Cpl. Anthony Moschetto and released to a parent on June 15 at 10:20 p.m. Cpl. Moschetto was assisting 1st Sgt. Todd Ireland while Ireland was investigating a physical altercation between several disorderly juveniles at the carnival on the grounds of the Calvert Middle School in Prince Frederick. The youth was acting in a disorderly manner and was asked several times to stop but he ignored the requests.
