MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DUI, CDS, SUSPENDED LICENSE: On Friday, October 5, 2007 at 1:21 am, Tpr. J. Pilkerton initiated a traffic stop on Route 5 in Callaway for failing to drive in a single lane. Contact was made with the driver, Steven Preston Yates, 57, of Loveville. An odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from the vehicle. A MVA check revealed Mr. Yates' driving privilege was suspended. He was subsequently arrested for driving on suspended license and DUI. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Yates was also in possession of Cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Yates was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On October 7, 2007 at 1:54 am, Terry Jeffrey Harris, Jr., 18, of Lusby was arrested by TFC T. Quade for possession of Marijuana. Mr. Harris was operating a red Honda Civic on Route 235 north of Lexington Park when he was stopped for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver, Mr. Harris and an odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Harris was found to be in possession of Marijuana and was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

DWI, REVOKED AND SUSPENDED LICENSE: On Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 1:00 am, Thomas D. Bush, 50, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. B. McCartney for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on September 20, 2007. The original charges driving while intoxicated and driving on revoked and suspended license. Mr. Bush was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 2:40 am, Reginald Simmons Tyler, 32, of St. Leonard, was arrested by TFC M. Grimes on an outstanding warrant (T3-12562) for Failing to Appear in Circuit Court in Leonardtown on December 8, 2006. The original charge was exceeding the posted speed limit. Mr. Tyler was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 4:00 pm, Donald L. Warrick, 19, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13062) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on September 26, 2007. The original charge was 2nd Degree Assault. Mr. Warrick was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 5:50 pm, James Albert Donaldson, III, 22, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC L. Nims on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-13039). The original charge was 2nd Degree Assault. Mr. Donaldson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, October 4, 2007, Marilyn Ann Martone, 22, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. G. White on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13069) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on September 14, 2007. The original charge was driving on a suspended license. Mr. Martone was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 1:45 am, Vincent Tyrell Gilbert, 50, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12860) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on May 22, 2007. The original charge was driving on a suspended license. Mr. Gilbert was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 2:20 am, Brook Lynn Kessler, 26, of Lusby was arrested by TFC T. Quade on an outstanding Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in District Court in Washington County on December 15, 2005. The original charges are several counts of Forgery private document, Uttering false documents and Theft under $500. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 8:55 pm, Angelo C. Pickeral, 47, of Hughesville was arrested by Tpr. K. Shughart on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12102) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on April 21, 2006. The original charge was possession of CDS not Marijuana. Mr. Pickeral was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, October 5, 2007 at 8:30 am, Martin Durrell Yates, 18, of Leonardtown was arrested by TFC K. Lashley on an outstanding Warrant (T3-13057) for Failing to Appear in Circuit Court in Leonardtown on September 24, 2007. The original charge was 2nd Degree Burglary. Mr. Yates was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Sunday, October 7, 2007 at 12:27 am, Doreise Jermae Jones, 27, of California was arrested by TFC T. Quade on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13043) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on September 18, 2007. The original charge was driving on a suspended license. Ms. Jones was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 2:30 am Mark Anthony Axson, 22, of Patuxent River was arrested by TFC T. Quade on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13012) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on August 28, 2007. The original charge was driving on a revoked license. Mr. Axson was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
