LEONARDTOWN, Md. (November 8, 2007) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department released the following incident and arrest reports.
THEFT, OPEN WARRANT: On 11/05/07 Deputy Gill responded to Best But in California, Maryland for the reported theft. Investigation revealed the suspect, Eric Devon Monk, 20, of Lexington Park, Maryland was observed in the business stealing music CD's. When confronted by staff the suspect quickly exited the store where he was detained by police. A routine check for warrants by Deputy Gill revealed Monk was wanted on an open warrant and he was arrested. After his arrest, seven (7) compact discs were found hidden in his clothing. Monk was transported to the Detention Center served with the open warrant and charged with Theft under $100.00 and held pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
