Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (November 15, 2007) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following
incident and arrest reports.

CDS VIOLATION: Dep. John Harms conducted a traffic stop on November 8 at 1:16 a.m. in the area of Thunderbird Drive and Mesa Trail in Lusby. A search incident to the arrest for DWI of the driver, identified as Kerry M. Barth, 35 of Lusby, revealed she was in possession of suspected marijuana. She was arrested and charged with DWI/DUI and possession of marijuana.

THEFT: A victim reported to Dep. Christopher McDonough that sometime between October 29 and November 10 unknown suspect(s) boarded his boat docked at the Beacon Marina on Lore Road in Solomons and stole a 22-inch Zenith LCD television set valued at $500. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. McDonough at 410-535-2800.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On November 11 at 11:50 p.m. Dep. Edwin Bradley responded to Catamaran's Bar on Solomons Island for the report of a disturbance. Security for the bar advised Bradley that an intoxicated female had been asked to leave the establishment but that she was attempting to reenter. Bradley located the woman, later identified as Shuree S. Weems, 26 of Lusby, standing in the roadway. Weems became belligerent toward the officer when he asked her to use her cell phone and contact a ride home. Weems began shouting profanities and did not stop despite repeated requests to do so. Weems was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and failure to obey a lawful order.

THEFT: A victim on Dunleigh Court in Dunkirk advised Dep. Sarah Koller on November 11 that unknown suspect(s) stole 4 dirt bikes from her driveway. The bikes total more than $10,000. One of the dirt bikes, a blue 2007 Yamaha 90cc was noticed missing approximately one month ago. The other three bikes were observed to be missing on November 11. Two of the bikes, both orange, are 50CC SX KTM dirt bikes and the other is a black Kawasaki 65CC. Dep. Koller will continue the investigation.

DOP: Unknown suspect(s) set fire to a mailbox in front of a home on Briscoes Turn Road in Owings on November 12 at around 3:00 in the morning. Dep. Nicholas DeFelice noticed the mailbox on fire while on routine patrol in the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. DeFelice at 410-535-2800.
