MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Oct. 30, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 9:52 am, TFC R. Rezza responded to the 28000 block of Old Village Road in Mechanicsville for the reported malicious destruction of property over $500.00 Contact was made with the female complainant, 45, of Mechanicsville who advised Kenneth Leroy Estep, 50, of Dunkirk had broken out the right side windows of her Toyota Yaris. TFC Rezza responded to Mr. Estep's residence in Dunkirk where he was placed under arrest. Mr. Estep was transported to the St. Mary's County for an open warrant through St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was charged with malicious destruction of property over $500 and disorderly conduct.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Monday, October 27, 2008 at 1:39 am, Jared Alpheus Jameson, Jr., was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for possession of cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Jameson was operating a green Dodge van on Great Mills Road in the area of Chancellors Run Road in Lexington Park when he was stopped for driving on a suspended license. Mr. Jameson was placed under arrest for driving on a suspended license. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Jameson was in possession of glass smoking device with cocaine. Mr. Jameson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

DUI, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 11:46 pm, TFC E. Evans initiated a routine traffic stop on a gray Ford Fusion on Three Notch Road at By The Mill Road in California. Upon contact with the driver, Ms. Kelly Lynn Maloney, 23, of Great Mills, a CDS smoking device with marijuana was observed in plain view on the back seat. Additionally, while speaking with Ms. Maloney, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from her breath. During the course of the traffic stop, she was arrested for DUI and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Ms. Maloney was given a criminal citation for possession of the CDS paraphernalia. She was transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing for the DUI.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 10:45 pm, Dennis Lamont Allen, 34, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an arrest warrant (T3-13627) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on September 26, 2008. The original charges were DWI/DUI and driving on a suspended license. Mr. Allen was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 5:24 pm, Marcus Tyrek Chase, 23, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. G. Thompson on an outstanding True Bill Indictment (T3-13369) which was issued by Circuit Court in Leonardtown on April 18, 2008. The original charge was possession of marijuana. Mr. Chase was incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 9:36 pm, Trevor Anthony Welcome, 41, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. G. Thompson on an outstanding arrest warrant (T3-13629) which was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on September 25, 2008. The original charge was assault 2nd degree. Mr. Welcome was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
