Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Dec. 1, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: Two canoes, one a green three seat Coleman worth $300 and the other a yellow Oldtown 3-seater, worth $600, were stolen. The Coleman was taken from the dock of a residence on Bullet Bend Trail in Lusby. The other was stolen from behind a residence on Silver Rock Circle. The exact time of the thefts is unknown. DOP: Four skateboard ramps and two large rocks were defaced with spray paint at the Dunkirk District Park between 4:00 p.m. on November 25 and 7:00 a.m. on November 26. The same type of vandalism was reported at Northern Middle school during the same time period. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Vaughn Evans at 410-535-2800.

DOP: A victim on Dalrymple Road in Sunderland advised DFC Carl Fischer that unknown suspect(s) punctured the tires on two vehicles that were parked in front of his home on November 26 between 5:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The front windshield of one of the vehicles was smashed. The damage is estimated at $1100. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Fischer at 410-535-2800.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On November 27 at 10:19 p.m. Dep. Mark Fitzgerald conducted a traffic stop on Thunderbird Drive at Spruce Street in Lusby. The passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Kimberly Sue Chapman, 39 of Lusby, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, a metal smoking device.

BURGLARY: DFC Mark Robshaw investigated a burglary at a home on Eagle Drive in Lusby that occurred sometime between November 28 at 5:00 p.m. and November 29 at 1:30 a.m. The suspect(s) stole a Toshiba television, valued at $400. THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Unknown suspect(s) stole a Garmin GPS, valued at $300, and cash from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in front of a home on Dogwood Lane in Huntingtown between November 26 at 6:30 p.m. and November 28 at 8:30 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. ILLEGAL DRUGS: On November 27 at 10:02 p.m. Dep. Moises Velasquez stopped a vehicle on the northbound side of Md. Rt. 4 at Mountain Trail in Prince Frederick. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Jacob Merit Allen, 22 of Prince Frederick, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, a blue glass smoking device.
