MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Sept. 12) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On August 30 at 9:28 a.m., Trooper Lewis responded to the 3400 block of Smithville Dr., Dunkirk, for a reported theft from a vehicle. Unknown suspect(s) had removed a stereo amplifier and an Apple IPOD from the victim's vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

ASSAULT: On August 30 at 11:54 a.m., Trooper Parker responded to the 1000 block of Golden West Way, Lusby, for a reported assault. Joshua D. Shifflett, 28 of Lusby, was arrested for assault and taken to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

THEFT/CREDIT CARD MISUSE: On September 1 at 9:32 a.m., Trooper First Class Greggs responded to the WAWA in Prince Frederick for a reported credit card fraud. The manager stated that someone had attempted to make a purchase using a credit card that did not belong to them. When asked for identification, the suspect left the store. TFC Greggs located the suspect at Rite-Aid, attempting to make purchases. Taron T. Stewart, 29 of Washington, DC, was placed under arrest and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing. Investigation also revealed that Stewart had entered a doctor's office on Stoakley Road and removed a credit card from an unattended purse. Stewart also had numerous open warrants from other jurisdictions.

BURGLARY: On September 1 at 1:52 p.m., Trooper First Class Johns responded to the 1900 block of Windsong Lane, St. Leonard, for a reported burglary. A residence was entered and a television and laptop computer were stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On September 4 at 11:28 p.m., Trooper A. Wyer stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 at Armiger Rd., Huntingtown. Theodore R. Edmonds, 30 of Lexington Park, was found to be in possession of Marijuana. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA: On September 6 at 1:07 a.m., Trooper R. Lewis stopped a vehicle for traffic violations Rt. 4 at Old Field Lane, Prince Frederick. Loris E. Todd, 23, Chesapeake Beach, was found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol and was in possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.
