Single Vehicle Accident in La Plata Claims One


LA PLATA, Md. (Dec. 15, 2009)—Joshua David Robinson, 20, of Port Tobacco, was involved in a serious one-vehicle automobile accident on Thursday, Dec. 10 in La Plata. Robinson was was initially transported to Prince George's Hospital Center and then transported to Baltimore Shock Trauma, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

Maryland State Police investigators say Robinson was traveling eastbound in a 2000 Buick Le Sabre on Maryland Route 6 east of Burch Road in La Plata when he lost control and struck a telephone pole. Police say alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor in the collision, however the investigation is still ongoing.
