MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (March 6, 2009) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On February 25, 2009 at 7:00 a.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to the 300 block of Maryland Avenue in Lusby for a reported theft. The victim vehicle was left unlocked in the driveway of the residence. An IPOD Touch and a small amount of cash was taken from the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at (410)535-1400.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On February 28, 2009 at 12:45 p.m., Trooper Logsdon responded to the Solomons Island Comfort Inn for a complaint of marijuana odor coming from one of the guest rooms. A juvenile was placed under arrest and was transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On March 1, 2009 at 9:30 a.m., Trooper First Class Murphy stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 231 west of Route 4 in Prince Frederick. The driver, Darren M. Bivens, 21 of Lusby, was arrested for DUI. Bivens was also found to be in possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Prince Frederick for processing and later incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

DISORDERLY, TRESPASSING: On March 2, 2009 at 3:00 p.m., Trooper First Class Johns responded to the 2500 block of Solomons Island Rd. in Prince Frederick, in reference to a disorderly individual. Dennis M. Erich, 40 of Prince Frederick, was asked on numerous occasions to leave the property and refused. He continued to remain on the property and act in a disorderly manner. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

James M. APPLETON, 49, of Vienna, Va. arrested on 2/27/09 @ 8:04 p.m. by TPR. R. Cavill

Robert D. TUCKER, 63, of Shadyside, Md. arrested on 2/28/09 @ 9:32 p.m. by TPR. R. Lewis

Darren M. BIVENS, 21, of Lusby, Md. arrested on 3/01/09 @ 9:33 a.m. by TFC M. Murphy
