St. Mary's County BCI Narcotics Arrests


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 8, 2009) - The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Narcotics Division recently released the following incident and arrest reports. The Division is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police Drug Enforcement Division and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007 and is based in St. Mary’s County.

COCAINE INDICTMENT: Detectives identified Reginald Cornelius Rainey, 36 of Lexington Park, as a distributor of cocaine. As the investigation continued, detectives made undercover purchases of cocaine from Rainey. All of the purchases were made in the Lexington Park area. After a case review with State's Attorney Richard D. Fritz, the case was presented to the St. Mary's County Grand Jury and multiple arrest warrants were obtained. Rainey was indicted for two counts of distribution of cocaine. He was being held without bond, however is currently released awaiting further court hearings.

COCAINE INDICTMENT: Detectives identified Barry Cedric Stout, 26, of Lexington Park, as a distributor of cocaine. As the investigation continued, detectives made undercover purchases of cocaine from Stout. After a case review with State's Attorney Richard D. Fritz, the case was presented to the St. Mary's County Grand Jury and multiple arrest warrants were obtained. Suspect Stout was indicted for three counts of distribution of cocaine. He is currently awaiting a bond review and is being held without bond.
