MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (May 7, 2009) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On April 29 at 1:45 p.m., Trooper Parker responded to a residence on McCrae Ave., Prince Frederick, for a reported destruction of property. The front window of the complainant's vehicle had been damaged by a pellet gun. Investigation revealed that another vehicle in the same area had been damaged with a pellet gun. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

1ST DEGREE BURGLARY: On April 29 at 9:50 a.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to the 5100 block of Solomons Island Rd., Sunderland, for a reported burglary. A John Deere STX30 Lawn Tractor with a 42 inch mower deck was stolen from a shed. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

POSSESSION OF PCP: On April 30 at 12:00 p.m., Trooper First Class Dawson stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 south of Dowell Road in Solomons. Paul W. Morgan, 47 of Lusby, was found to be in possession of cigarettes dipped in PCP and other drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing. While at the CCDC, Mr. Morgan was served additional outstanding warrants.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE: On May 3, 2009 at 2:50 a.m., Trooper First Class Lass responded to the Fairgrounds parking lot for a reported theft from a motor vehicle. Approximately one hundred CD's and a set of stereo speakers had been removed from the complainant's locked vehicle. A small window on the driver's side door had been broken to gain entry. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On May 3 at 7:42 p.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to the 6000 block of Stephen Reid Rd, Huntingtown, for a reported destruction of property. Unknown suspect(s) threw a rock through a front window of the residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On May 3 at 8:00 p.m., Trooper First Class Murphy stopped a vehicle for traffic violations at Rt. 508 at Diane Court in Prince Frederick. Trevor J. Barger, 20 of Lusby, was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

THEFT OF MARYLAND REGISTRATION: On May 4 at 7:00 a.m., Trooper Logsdon responded to the 200 block of Fairground Rd, Prince Frederick for a reported theft. The complainant stated the registration number H6567C had been removed from his charter bus. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

THEFT OF MARYLAND REGISTRATION: On May 4 at 12:00 p.m., Trooper First Class Merkelson responded to the 300 block of Prince Frederick Blvd., Prince Frederick, for a reported theft. The complainant advised Maryland Registration 7EKR93 had been removed from his vehicle sometime the previous weekend. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

BURGLARY: On May 4 at 5:08 p.m., Trooper Cavill responded to the 11000 block of Big Sandy Run Rd, Lusby, for a reported burglary. Unknown suspect(s) removed two Honda dirt bikes from the victim's shed. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.
