MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Jan. 26, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) on Monday released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Sunday, January 10 at 1:38 pm, Joseph Aloysius Raley, Jr., 46, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC C. M. Evans for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Raley was operating a gray Nissan Altima on south bound Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood when he was stopped in the area of Beck Road for an equipment violation. TFC Evans made contact with the driver, Mr. Raley and an odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Raley was found to be in possession of Marijuana and a silver metal CDS smoking device. Mr. Raley was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, January 11 at 8:35 am, Kimberly Ann McCluer, 33, of Lusby was arrested by TFC C. M. Evans on a Bench Warrant (T3-14256) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 5. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Ms. McCluer turned herself in at the Leonardtown Barracks and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, January 12 at 8:26 am, Jonathan Edward Hughes, 23, of Newburg was arrested by Tpr. G. A. Thompson on a Bench Warrant (T3-14229) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on December 4, 2009. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Hughes turned himself in at the Leonardtown Barracks and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY UNDER $1,000: On Tuesday, January 12 at 12:38 pm, TFC C. M. Evans responded to the 21000 block of St. Lo Place in Lexington Park for the reported Destruction of Property. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 43, of Lexington Park who advised unknown suspect(s) threw a brick and shattered a bedroom window. Estimated damage is $200.00. Neighborhood checks were conducted with negative results. The investigation is ongoing.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, January 12 at 2:15 pm, Nicholas Allen Ogden, 32, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. M. J. Pitcher on a Bench Warrant (T3-14273) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 12. Mr. Ogden was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, January 12 at 10:45 pm, Paul Lionel Johnson, 46, of Callaway was arrested by Tpr. R. L. Jackson on an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant (T3-13464) issued on June 13, 2008. The original charge was DWI/DUI. Mr. Johnson was taken into custody in Prince George's County and transported to St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served the warrant. He is being held pending his court appearance.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, January 13 at 9:50 am, Mark Joseph Thompson, 45, of St. Inigoes was arrested by TFC E. M. Evans on a Bench Warrant (T3-14259) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 6. The original charge was DWI/DUI. Mr. Thompson was taken into custody in Lexington Park and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, January 13 at 3:55 pm, Sherron Torrill Bush, 33, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. R. L. Jackson on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13364) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on April 18, 2008. The original charges were Driving on a Suspended and Revoked License and Driving without the required authorization. Mr. Bush was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center in Leonardtown and was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Wednesday, January 13 at 6:50 pm, TFC R. B. Rezza responded to the Park & Ride on Airport Road in Hollywood for the reported Theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 53, of Lexington Park who advised between the hours of 4:30 am and 4:30 pm, unknown suspect(s) stole both the Maryland Registration plates from his green Ford Taurus. The registration plates have been entered into NCIC and the investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT 1ST DEGREE AND DRUG ARREST: On Wednesday, January 13 at 9:18 pm, Tpr. R. L. Jackson and other officers responded to the reported Stabbing in the 38000 block of Foley Mattingly Road in Mechanicsville. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female witness, 46, of Mechanicsville who advised James Johnson Morgan, 44, of Mechanicsville was intoxicated inside the residence and had stabbed his father in the left forearm. Mr. Morgan was taken into custody and detained at the scene prior to being transported to the Leonardtown Barracks for processing. While at the scene, Mr. Morgan was found to be in possession of a glass tubular smoking device with cocaine. He was later transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Thursday, January 14 at 9:22 am, TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded to the reported Domestic Assault in the 45000 block of Great Mills Court in Great Mills. Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect, Christopher McKinley Roach, 31, of Great Mills who was sitting in the living room. Contact was also made with the female complainant, 27, of Great Mills who advised she was assaulted by Mr. Roach. TFC Pilkerton observed in plain view a blue metal CDS smoking device and a plastic bag of Marijuana. Mr. Roach was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. Mr. Roach was charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.

THEFT UNDER $1,000: On Thursday, January 14 at 4:42 pm, TFC K. D. Lashley responded to the Park & Ride in the 27000 block of Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville for the reported Theft under $1,000. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 48, of Avenue who advised unknown suspect(s) stole the catalytic converter from his 1995 Toyota T100 between the hours of 5:30 am to 4:15 pm on January 14. The investigation continues.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Thursday, January 14 at 7:23 pm, TFC M. A. Moore responded to the 44000 block of Wood Duck Lane in Callaway for the reported Domestic Assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 23, of Callaway who advised she was assaulted by Andrew Joseph Dygert, 29, of Callaway assaulted her. Mr. Dygert was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, January 14 at 10:12 pm, Sean Tyler Wolthers, 21, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC R. B. Rezza on a Bench Warrant (T3-14272) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 8. The original charges were Burglary 2nd degree, Burglary 4th degree, Theft over $500.00, Trespassing and Malicious Destruction of Property under $500.00. Mr. Wolthers was taken into custody at his residence in Mechanicsville and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, January 15 at 2:19 am, Meghan Marie Scott, 25, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. G. A. Thompson for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Ms. Scott was operating a white Ford F-150 when she was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit on Old Village Road at Mechanicsville Road in Mechanicsville. Upon contact with Ms. Scott, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from her breath and person. Ms. Scott was subsequently arrested for DWI/DUI. She was found to be in possession of a clear baggie of Marijuana and CDS smoking device. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, January 16 at 12:05 am, Vernon Richard Hebb, 58, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. M. J. Pitcher for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Hebb was operating a maroon Chevrolet van when he was stopped on Patuxent Beach Road in the area of Kingston Creek Road in California for exceeding the posted speed limit. Upon contact with Mr. Hebb, a strong odor of burnt Marijuana was detected emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Hebb was found to be in possession of a clear plastic bag containing 42 partially burnt Marijuana cigarettes, four (4) plastic baggies containing Marijuana and a metal grinder containing Marijuana. Mr. Hebb was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Saturday, January 16 at 12:48 am, Tpr. G. A. Thompson responded to the IHOP Restaurant at 21991 Three Notch Road in Lexington Park for the reported Theft under $100.00. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 42, of Hollywood who advised four (4) male subjects entered the IHOP restaurant, ordered food and left without paying the bill. The complainant advised the total bill was $43.81. When the subjects fled the store on foot, they ran across the parking lot to a white BMW vehicle and fled heading south bound on Three Notch Road. The four subjects were black males, in the mid 20's and dressed in black. One subject was wearing a white jacket, blue jeans and an orange shirt. The investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Sunday, January 17 at 3:10 pm, TFC D. S. Brill responded to the 41000 block of Norris Street in Leonardtown for the reported out of control juvenile. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 26, of Leonardtown who advised that her 11 year old son assaulted her by hitting her with a belt. The juvenile was later taken into custody and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing. He was later taken to the Cheltenham Juvenile Detention Facility where he was held pending further action by Juvenile Services.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, January 18 at 6:02 pm, David Glenn Sampson, 39, of Charlotte Hall was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko on a Bench Warrant (T3-14269) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 8. The original charges were traffic related. Mr. Sampson was taken into custody at his residence in Charlotte Hall and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Monday, January 18 at 7:45 pm, Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann responded to the 45000 block of Nolte Court in California for the reported Domestic Argument. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 29, of California who advised she was assaulted by Aaron Howard Miles, 32, of California who left the scene prior to Tpr. Wiesemann's arrival. Corporal P. A. Trossbach, the duty officer, made contact with the suspect, Mr. Miles and convinced him to return to the residence. Once he returned, he was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, January 19 at 4:30 am, Nicholas Allen Ogden, 32, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC C. M. Evans on a Bench Warrant (T3-14280) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 15. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Ogden was taken into custody at his residence in Lexington Park and was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
