St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 22, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On April 21, Corporal Logalbo responded to a report of a disturbance at the Fox Chase Apartments in Great Mills. Investigation revealed Matthew Anthony Brown, Sr., 48, of Great Mills, was involved in a verbal dispute with another resident of the apartment complex. Brown was extremely agitated and was yelling causing neighbors to lookout side of their windows and doors to see what was causing the disturbance. Deputies asked Brown several times to calm down and stop yelling which he refused. Brown was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, RESISTING ARREST: On April 22, deputies responded to the Sheetz Store in Great Mills for a report of a large crowd and fight. Cpl. Handy and Cpl. Moritz observed Ineisha Nat'e Young, 20, of Great Mills, and Angel Marie Mawson, 27, of Lexington Park, yelling and cursing at one another from across the in parking lot. It was obvious to the deputies the two women were the primary aggressors and their actions were causing the crowd of fifty plus people to grow thus endangering public safety. The women were ordered by deputies to stop their disorderly behavior but both refused. The deputies believed a physical altercation was going to ensue. Cpl. Handy approached Young, told her was under arrest and took her by the arm. Young attempted to pull away from Cpl. Handy's grasp and yelled "I ain't going nowhere." Cpl. Handy placed Young on the ground and handcuffed her. Cpl. Moritz arrested Mawson. Both were charged with disorderly conduct. Young was additionally charged with resisting arrest.
