Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (July 19, 2010) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WEEKLY SUMMARY: The Sheriff's Office responded to 1,833 calls for service throughout the community. Additionally, deputies arrested 11 people and charged them with DWI/DUI during the week.

THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) stole a blue Jazz Kayak valued at $375 from the flag Harbor Beach in St. Leonard sometime between July 9 and 16. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. C. Johnson at 410-535-2800.

THEFTS: A black Dyno bicycle valued at $200 was stolen from the yard of a home on Crazy Horse Trail and a blue and silver Mongoose was taken from a home on Crystal Rock Road in Lusby. The Mongoose is valued at $300. Dep. C. Wells is handling the thefts that occurred between July 11 and 17.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: Dep. N. Funchion is investigating the theft of a $12,000 Harley Davidson motorcycle that occurred between July 8 and 16 at a home on Cox Road in Huntingtown. The motorcycle is a 2005 Softail Deuce, light blue with ghost flames on the side. The bike has chrome handle bars, exhaust pipes and custom wheels. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Funchion at 410-535-2800.

THEFT: Two females were arrested by Dep. S. Esposito on July 16 at the Prince Frederick K-Mart after the loss prevention officer of the store observed them put items into a bag they were carrying and leave the store without paying. Nicole Ann Christian, 18 of North Beach, and Sheena Tiara Gray, 24 of Prince Frederick, stole about $70 worth of items. Both women were charged with theft.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: A Sirius radio worth $125 was stolen from inside an unlocked vehicle in a driveway of a home on Anchor Drive in Lusby. The theft occurred between July 15 and 16 and is being handled by Dep. J. Norton.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: Dep. C. Wells is investigating the theft of a gray 1994 Pontiac Grand Am worth $1200 from a home on Ridge Road in Lusby. The theft occurred on July 16 between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

THEFT OF BOAT: A white 17 foot 1997 Boston Whaler Runabout boat and the trailer it was sitting on were stolen from Calvert Marina on Dowell Road in Dowell between July 11 and 16. DFC P. Wood is investigating. The boat and trailer are valued at $5500.

CDS VIOLATION: Dep. J. Parsons charged a 17-year-old male of Lusby with possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on July 17 at 11:13 p.m. at White Sands Drive and Md. Rt. 4 in Lusby. The juvenile was charged on a youth report and released to a parent.

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) entered an open garage of a home on Bear Claw Court in Owings overnight between July 17 and 18 and stole two Trek bicycles, one green and one red. The bikes are valued at $400. Dep. M. Economes is investigating.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On July 18 at approximately 4:30 a.m. Cpl. Moschetto responded to the area of Md. Rt. 4 and the south entrance to Main Street in Prince Frederick for the report of a half-clothed female walking in the street. Moschetto made contact with the female, later identified as Krystal V. Goad, 25 of Prince Frederick. Goad was administered a PBT and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Goad became unruly, flailing her arms and legs, refusing to stay seated in the patrol vehicle, and hollering profanities. Goad then spit at Moschetto. Goad was ultimately arrested by Moschetto and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, second degree assault and hindering a police officer in the performance of his duties.
