MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 20, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Wednesday, July 14 at 6:39pm, TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford Crown Victoria for a traffic violation in the area of Maryland Route 235 and Clover Hill Road. Upon making contact with the driver, Trevone Damone Butler, 19, of Lexington Park, TFC Gresko detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A subsequent probable cause search revealed CDS inside the vehicle and on Mr. Butler's person. Mr. Butler was arrested for Possession of CDS - Not Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. Mr. Butler was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

BURGLARY: On Wednesday, July 14 at 10:36pm, Cpl S. B. Koch responded to the 19000 block of Saint George's Church Road in Valley Lee for a reported burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 58, of Valley Lee who advised he was notified by the alarm company of an intrusion into the location. An inspection of the property revealed damage to multiple entry points. Any information pertaining to this case may be forwarded to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack; this investigation is ongoing.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Thursday, July 15 at 3:05am, TFC C. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a blue Saturn at Clarkes Landing Road in the area of Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood for a traffic violation. The driver, Jacob Michael Wietzke, 23, of Hollywood, was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence. A search incident to arrest revealed merchandise that was stolen from the Wawa in the 23000 block of Three Notch Road. The passenger, Robert Johnson Bowles, 20, of Chaptico, and Mr. Wietzke were additionally charged with Theft Under $100.00.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, July 15 at 11:48am, Tpr. R. L. Jackson arrested Tony Lamar Cross, 21, of an Unknown Fixed Address, on an arrest warrant (T3-14504) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on July 9. The original charge was Theft $1,000 to $10,000. Mr. Cross was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, July 15, TFC J. R. Stern and TFC E. M. Evans extradited Lorry Rochelle Albers, 40, of Norfolk, Virginia from Virginia Beach, Virginia to St. Mary's County due to a bench warrant (T3-14247) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on December 17, 2009. The original charges were for multiple Theft Schemes and Fraud - Per Identification Theft. Ms. Albers was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100, MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Thursday, July 15 at 2:25pm, TFC D. S. Brill responded to the 22000 block of Three Notch Road in California to make contact with a female complainant, 21, of Mechanicsville, who advised between the hours of 1:30am and 2:00pm on July 15 unknown subjects broke into her vehicle, which was unattended in a parking lot, and stole multiple items of value. The complainant was unable to offer any possible suspect information. Any information pertaining to this case may be forwarded to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack; this investigation is ongoing.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, July 16 at 3:18am, while attempting to locate suspects in an unrelated case, TFC J. A. Pilkerton observed two subjects walking down the road in the area of Yorktown Road in Lexington Park. Upon attempting contact with both individuals for identification purposes, one subject fled the area on foot. TFC Pilkerton apprehended the subject, identified as Jason Michael Reintzell, 32, of Lexington Park, further down on Yorktown Road. A query through METERS/NCIC revealed Mr. Reintzell had an outstanding warrant through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department. A search incident to arrest also revealed Marijuana on Mr. Reintzell's person. Mr. Reintzell was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, July 16 at 11:45am, TFC J. S. Gibson arrested Cedric Sinclair Williams, 24, of Lexington Park, on a bench warrant (T3-14461) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The warrant was issued on June 3 with an original charge of CDS Possession - Not Marijuana. Mr. Williams was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER: On Friday, July 16 at 3:22pm, TFC E. J. Page responded to the 21000 block of Harrison Street in Great Mills for a Violation of a Protective Order. Upon arrival, contact was made with male complainant, 43, of Great Mills who advised a protective order was outstanding on Adella Marie Ackerman, 43, which she violated upon entering the residence. TFC Page made contact with Ms. Ackerman in the 21000 block of May Faire Lane to obtain a statement regarding the incident. Subsequently, Ms. Ackerman was arrested for the Violation of Protective Order and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, July 16 at 5:15pm, Cpl. M. W. Laney initiated a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 235, south of Maryland Route 4, on a green van for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver, Ronnie Jay Jenkins, 19, of Bowie, Cpl. Laney detected the odor of burnt marijuana. A probable cause search revealed Marijuana on Mr. Jenkins' person as well as in the vehicle. Confiscated along with the CDS was alcohol in the vehicle. Mr. Jenkins was arrested for Possession of CDS and Possession of Alcohol Under the Age of 21. Mr. Jenkins was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, July 17 at 12:30pm, TFC D. S. Brill arrested Jeffrey Alan Dement, 45, of Leonardtown on a bench warrant (T3-14438) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The warrant was issued on May 20 with an original charge of Theft Less Than $1,000.00 Value. Mr. Dement was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, July 17 at 1:30pm, TFC J. S. Gibson arrested Francesca Maria Daniele, 44, of La Plata, on an arrest warrant (T3-14512) issued by the District Court of Calvert County on July 7. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Theft $1,000 to $10,000. Ms. Daniele was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
