La Plata Man Arrested for August Abduction and Robbery in Arlington



Storme Swann, 49, of La Plata, was arrested on Monday in connection with a robbery and sexual assault involving two female victims in Arlington, Va. this past August. Swann is a registered sex offender in Maryland.
ARLINGTON, Va. (November 23, 2010)—The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit has made an arrest in an abduction and robbery that occurred on Saturday, August 14, in the 2400 block of South Glebe Road.

According to police, at 11:45 p.m., a woman answered a knock at her hotel room door, and a man forced his way inside. The suspect restrained the two female occupants and sexually assaulted one victim. He fled after stealing electronics and money.

An anonymous tip through Crime Solvers lead detectives to the Charles County Sherriff’s Office who identified the suspect as a registered sex offender in Maryland. With the assistance of detectives from the Charles County Sherriff’s Office, Storme Swann, 49, of La Plata, was arrested on November 22. He was charged with Abduction with the Intent to Defile and two counts of Robbery. He is currently being held without bond in Maryland.
