MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 10, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 3:19am, TFC N. E. Gresko conducted a traffic stop on a white Toyota in the area of Maryland Route 235 and Rue Purchase Road in Lexington Park. Upon making contact with the operator, Shannon Courtney Peter, 31, of Tall Timbers, TFC Gresko detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. Ms. Peter exited the vehicle for a Standardized Field Sobriety test, unsuccessful completion of the test resulted in her arrest for Driving Under the Influence. A search incident to arrest revealed an open container of alcohol and CDS and CDS paraphernalia in the vehicle. Ms. Peter was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention and charged accordingly. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, March 7, 2011 at 5:06pm, Tpr. S. M. Morton served a Bench Warrant (T3-14825) on Chad Eugene Fowler, 38, of Lusby. Mr. Fowler was located by the Ocean City Police Department and transported back to St. Mary's County for service. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on February 25, 2011 with an original charge of Driving Under the Influence. Upon arrival in the county, Mr. Fowler was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, March 7, 2011 at 8:55pm, TFC M. A. Moore served a Bench Warrant (T3-14809) on Michael S. Filloramo, 21, of Hollywood. Mr. Filloramo was originally charged with Malicious Destruction of Property by the District Court of St. Mary's County on February 22, 2011. Mr. Filloramo was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 12:15pm, Tpr. S. M. Ditoto served a Bench Warrant (T3-14791) on Louis Andre Briscoe, 42, of Alexandria, Virginia. The warrant was issued for Mr. Briscoe's arrest on February 8, 2011 by the St. Mary's County District Court with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Briscoe was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $1000: On Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 5:38pm, Tpr. R. L. Jackson responded to the Belk Department Store in the Wildewood Shopping Center for a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, contact was made with Loss Prevention Personnel and suspect, Yuan Yuan Dunty, 65, of Port Republic. Loss Prevention Personnel advised that Ms. Dunty was observed entering a fitting room with a large quantity of merchandise but exiting with substantially less. Contact made with Ms. Dunty as she exited the store revealed that there were several items taken from the establishment without purchase. Tpr. Jackson returned the merchandise to Loss Prevention Personnel and placed Ms. Dunty under arrest for Theft Under $1000.00. Ms. Dunty was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 1:45am, TFC E. J. Page served a Bench Warrant for Possession of a Handgun In Vehicle on Demetrius Deandre Young, 20, of Hollywood. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on March 4, 2011. Mr. Young was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 3:30am, TFC M. J. Pitcher served a Fugitive Arrest Warrant on Stephanie Lauren Bates, 27, of Bryans Road, Maryland. The warrant was issued on March 10, 2011 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Ms. Bates was located on a traffic stop and taken into custody for being a Fugitive from Justice -Virginia. Ms. Bates will be extradited from the St. Mary's County Detention Center.
