Charles County Sheriff's Reports


LA PLATA, Md. (June 23, 2011)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY AND THEFT: Between June 22 at 5 p.m. - June 23 at 6 a.m., unknown suspects broke into three cars in the area of Holly Station in Waldorf and stole electronics, laptops, wallets and money that had been left in the vehicles overnight. Officers canvassed the area for witnesses and processed the scene for evidence. The Sheriff's Office is reminding residents to remove personal property from their vehicles when left unattended. Anyone with information is asked to call (301) 932-2222. Officer K. Newman is investigating.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On June 23, during the early morning hours, an unknown suspect entered an unlocked car in the 11200 block of E Heron Place in Waldorf and stole a laptop which was left in the car overnight. Officers canvassed the area for witnesses and processed the scene for evidence. Officer T. Smith is investigating.
