Youth Charged with Multiple False Fire Alarm Activations


CALVERT COUNTY, Md. (August 31, 2011)—A fourteen year old male juvenile was charged with two counts of False Alarm activations at the Triad Group Home for Juveniles located at 55 Armory Road in Prince Frederick.

Deputy State Fire Marshals and facility staff determined the youth was responsible for intentionally activating the fire alarm pull station in the main hallway during the past couple days.

He has been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services pending further actions. The false activation of a fire alarm has a penalty of up to 5 years imprisonment and/or $5,000 in fines per count charged.
