LA PLATA, Md. (September 24, 2011)—A pedestrian was killed Thursday morning in Waldorf after being struck by a southbound Ford F350 pickup truck. Maryland State Police say Steven Chase Bollen, 25, of Waldorf, was illegally crossing southbound US 301, south of Sub-Station Road, when he was struck by the truck driven by Zachery Ryan Sheets, 22, of Logap, N.C.
Mr. Bollen was transported to Medstar Washington Hospital Center via Trooper 2 medevac helicopter where he was pronounced deceased.
