MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (October 6, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Monday, October 3 at 12:52 a.m., TFC E. J. Page responded to the 38000 block of Owens Road in Avenue for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 31, of Avenue who advised that she was involved in an argument with a male subject. During the altercation the complainant received some injuries and there was damage to the residence. Information provided by the complainant and suspect, along with evidence observed by TFC Page resulted in the arrest of Corey Terrell Bonds, 27, of Avenue. Mr. Bonds was placed under arrest for Second Degree Assault and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, October 4 at 1:57 a.m., TFC E. J. Page served a Bench Warrant (T3-15127) on Mark Anthony Robinson, 44, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License and Attempt by Driver to Elude Police by Fleeing on Foot. Mr. Robinson was located during a traffic stop on Maryland Route 246 at Lexwood Drive. He was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, October 4 at 8:09 a.m., TFC R. L. Jackson served an Arrest Warrant (T3-15159) on Darnell Randel, 35, of an Unknown Fixed Address. The warrant was issued for Mr. Randel's arrest on June 26 by the District Court of Baltimore City. The original charge was Second Degree Assault. Mr. Randel was located on a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 5 and West Fisher Drive. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, October 5 at 7:00 a.m., TFC A. J. Malaspina served a Bench Warrant (T3-15134) on Joshua Anthony Ocasio, 31, of California. The warrant was issued for Mr. Ocasio's arrest on August 15 with an original charge of Knowingly Driving An Uninsured Vehicle by the District Court of Charles County. Mr. Ocasio was located in the 22000 block of Iverson Drive in Great Mills and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Wednesday, October 5 at 1:12 p.m., TFC R. L. Jackson initiated a traffic stop on a black GMC in the area of Maryland Route 5 and West Fisher Road for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, TFC Jackson detected the odor marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The operator was identified as John James Trainor, 3rd, 19, of Severn. Based on observations, TFC Jackson had Mr. Trainor exit the vehicle, at which time a beverage can containing ashes was emptied out revealing CDS - Marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle along with items freely handed over to the Trooper by Mr. Trainor resulted in the retrieval of additional CDS from the vehicle. Mr. Trainor was arrested for CDS Possession and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, October 5 at 7:25 p.m., TFC E. M. Evans served a Bench Warrant (T3-15113) on Matthew Warren Beard, 31, of Hollywood. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on August 26 with an original charge of Driving On A Revoked License. Mr. Beard was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Wednesday, October 5 at 11:50 p.m., Tpr. E. T. Reuschling stopped a Honda Accord in the area of Maryland Route 237 and Fox Chase Apartments for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, the operator was identified as Regan Muse Simpson, 29, of Prince Frederick. While speaking with the operator and a male passenger, Tpr. Reuschling observed a in plain view CDS Paraphernalia. Ms. Simpson and the male passenger were detained until ownership of the item could be determined. Ms. Simpson was determined to be the owner and was subsequently arrested. A search incident to arrest revealed CDS and CDS Paraphernalia on the floor board and in the center console of the vehicle. Ms. Simpson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where a search of her person revealed additional CDS. Ms. Simpson was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
