St. Mary's DPWT Director Nominated to Serve on CEAM Board


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (December 16, 2011)—George Erichsen, Director of St. Mary's County Department of Public Works and Transportation, has accepted a nomination to serve a two year term on the Board of Directors of the County Engineers Association of Maryland (CEAM).

Greg Africa, Nominating Committee Chairman, announced the appointment during the group's December 8, 2011 meeting in Annapolis. CEAM President Hudson Myers III says Erichsen's nomination was unanimously approved by the entire Board.

President Myers administered the CEAM Oath of Office to Erichsen whose term begins immediately.

As Director of St. Mary's County Department of Public Works and Transportation, Erichsen oversees the County's public facilities, its roads, transportation, recycling, and waste management. Through eight divisions his department operates: Airport Operations, Building Services, Construction and Inspections, Development Review, Engineering, Highways, Recycling and Solid Waste, and Transportation.
