At approximately 5:45 pm, a resident of Wenona was standing outside heard her house and heard a plane crash into the water. The resident then called a NRP Officer to report the incident.

Units from NRP, Coast Guard, and fire companies are searching the waters of Tangier Sound for evidence of the plane crash. The assisting fire companies include Fairmont, Mt. Vernon, Deale Island, Allen, Westside, Ocean City and Princess Anne.
