MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (January 27, 2012)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 3:01pm, TFC N. E. Gresko conducted a traffic stop on a Honda passenger vehicle in the area of Maryland Route 246 and Kay Drive in Lexington Park for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the vehicle and its occupants, TFC Gresko positively identified a passenger and then the driver, Broderick Arron Johnson, 21, of Lexington Park. While speaking with Mr. Johnson and the passenger, the odor of marijuana was detected emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search was performed on the vehicle and Mr. Johnson's person revealing Synthetic Marijuana in his front pants pocket as well as CDS - Marijuana in the center console of the vehicle. The search of the passenger was met with negative results, and he was ultimately released from the scene. Mr. Johnson was placed under arrest for Possession of CDS and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT LESS THAN $1,000; TRESPASSING: On Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 1:32am, Tpr. W. A. Couter responded to the 44000 block of Saint Andrews Church Road in California for a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male complainant, 51, of Lusby, who advised he observed suspicious activity around a storage shed where he maintained supplies. Upon approaching the shed, the complainant advised two male subjects ran from the rear to an awaiting vehicle and fled the scene. A broadcast by the Emergency Communications Center was disseminated providing the vehicle information. The vehicle was located in the area of Maryland Route 5 and Hermanville Road, occupied by two male subjects whom were returned to the scene of the crime and positively identified as the suspects in the Theft. Upon their return to the scene, Tpr. Couter made contact with a male juvenile, 17, of Lexington Park, and Jonathan Michael Lachkovic, 24, of Lexington Park. Based on information provided by Mr. Lachkovic, both subjects were placed under arrest for Theft Under $1,000.00 and Trespassing. Mr. Lachkovic was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. The juvenile was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack where he was processed and released to a guardian pending further action by Juvenile Services.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, January 23, 2012 at 12:50pm, TFC E. J. Page served a Bench Warrant (T3-15319) on Reginald Sean Allen, 31, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on January 18, 2012 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Allen turned himself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 3:48pm, Tpr. E. R. Mersman served a Bench Warrant (T3-14908) on Rafael Fischetto, 28, of Brewster, New York. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on April 22, 2011 with an original charge of Exceeding Maximum Speed and Driving On A Suspended out of State License. Mr. Fischetto was located in the area of Maryland Route 235 and Exploration Park Drive, and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 11:27pm, Tpr. S. M. Morton served a Bench Warrant (T3-15326) on Ernest Harry Holmes, Jr., 35, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued on December 5, 2011 with an original charge of Driving Uninsured Vehicle by the District Court of Prince George's County. Mr. Holmes was located the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 2:24pm, TFC M. A. Moore responded to the area of Maryland Route 237 and Sayre Drive in Great Mills for a report of a fight on a school bus. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 49, of Lexington Park who advised a male juvenile, 13, of Leonardtown assaulted a male juvenile victim, 13, of Lexington Park, as the victim attempted to exit the school bus at his designated stop. The complainant advised that the assault was broken up and all parties separated until the arrival of Law Enforcement. Upon making contact with the victim and suspect, TFC Moore received statements from both. The victim was released from the scene without further action, and the suspect was charged at the scene and then released to a guardian pending further action by Juvenile Services.
