MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 12, 2012)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) has released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, April 5 at 10:28am, TFC N. E. Gresko took Henry Clay Hinson, 25, of Great Mills into custody from a Correctional Facility in Baltimore. Mr. Hinson was being returned to St. Mary's County for service of a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15388). The warrant was issued for Mr. Hinson's arrest on February 10 by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Violation of Probation - Robbery With a Deadly Weapon. Mr. Hinson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, April 6 at 2:54am, TFC B. T. Wiesemann served an Arrest Warrant (T3-15447) on Stacey Michelle Graves, 40, of Lusby. The warrant was issued on March 29 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Theft Scheme 1K to 10K / Fraud Per Identification. Ms. Graves was located in the 21000 block of North Essex Drive in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, April 6 at 7:45am, Tpr. W. A. Couter served an Arrest Warrant (T3-15453) on Robert Lee Raley, 29, of Valley Lee. The warrant was issued for Mr. Raley's arrest on April 6 with an original charge of Second Degree Assault by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Raley was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, April 9 at 11:00am, TFC G. A. Thompson served a Bench Warrant (T3-15274) on Franklin Earl Robinson, 44, of Brandywine. The warrant was issued on December 16, 2011 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving Uninsured Vehicle and Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Robinson turned himself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, April 9 at 5:06pm, Tpr. E. R. Mersman served a Bench Warrant (T3-15459) on Christopher Joseph Ashby, 23, of Coltons Point. The warrant was issued for Mr. Ashby's arrest on March 26 with an original charge of Driving While Impaired by Alcohol by the District Court of Charles County. Mr. Ashby was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, April 10 at 8:05pm, TFC M. A. Moore and Tpr. S. M. Morton served two outstanding Bench Warrants (T3-15437 / T3-15438) on Alaina Marie Devore, 28, of Baltimore. The warrants were issued on March 22 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with original charges of (T3-15437) Driving While Impaired by Alcohol and (T3-15438) Driving On A Revoked License. Ms. Devore was located while already incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served with both warrants and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, April 11 at 3:00pm, TFC G. A. Thompson arrested Ralph Eugene Patterson, Jr., 67, of Bowie, for an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-15460). The warrant was issued by the District Court of Prince George's County on March 23, 2011 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Patterson was located at the District Court in St. Mary's County and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

SATURATION PATROLS: On Saturday, March 17 at 7:00pm, four Troopers from the Leonardtown Barrack participated in a Checkpoint Strikeforce DUI saturation patrol. The saturation covered areas in the middle part of St. Mary's County, specifically, California. During the operation, 32 vehicles were stopped resulting in 2 subjects being arrested for DUI. One vehicle was searched based on probable cause, however, no arrest was made. 17 citations, 27 warnings, and 3 SEROs were issued. At 11:00pm, the saturation patrol concluded, for a total duration of 4 hours.

Also, on Saturday, March 17, three separate Troopers participated in an Aggressive Driving patrol. The aggressive driving patrol was focused on different areas of St. Mary's County. During the operation, 27 vehicles were stopped, resulting in 13 citations and 17 warnings issued.

The combined efforts of the saturation patrol and the aggressive driving resulted in 30 citations issued, 44 warnings, 3 SEROs, 59 traffic stops and 2 DUI arrests.
