MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (July 31, 2012)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) has released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 7/23/2012 at 10:23 am, Trooper First Class Esnes stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Prince Frederick Blvd. in Prince Frederick. A K-9 scan of the vehicle was performed and revealed Marijuana. Delano Gray Jr., 27 of Port Republic, was placed under arrest and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 7/23/2012 at 5:13 pm, Trooper First Class Evans stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Wilson Court and Main Street in Prince Frederick. A strong odor of marijuana was emitting from within the vehicle. A search revealed Travis L. Bright, 27 of Prince Frederick, was in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 7/23/2012 at 6:21 pm, Trooper Barlow stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Wilson Court and Main Street in Prince Frederick. A search revealed that Jodie M. Johnson, 35 of Prince Frederick, was in possession of marijuana. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

VIOLATION OF EX-PARTE/PROTECTIVE ORDER: On 7/24/2012 at 11:59 am, Trooper First Class Esnes stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Adelina Rd. and Rt. 231. Tony M. Mullen, 49 of Tracy's Landing, was a passenger inside of the vehicle along with the petitioner of a protective order obtained against Mr. Mullen. He was placed under arrest and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF OXYCODONE: On 7/25/2012 at 4:06 pm, Senior Trooper Gill was dispatched to a residence on Virginia Ave. in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. During the investigation, Brian C. Newman, 28 of Prince Frederick, was found to be in possession of Oxycodone for which he did not have a prescription. He was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 7/25/2012 at 5:38 pm, Trooper First Class Evans responded to the 2000 block of Sixes Rd. in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. A Toshiba laptop and case were removed for the victim's unlocked vehicle. Investigation continues.

WARRANT/THEFT: On 7/25/2012 at 6:44 pm, Senior Trooper Gill stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Main St. at Wilson Court in Prince Frederick. Stephaine C. DeVaughn, 32 of Huntingtown, was arrested for an open warrant and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center. During a search, it was discovered that she was in possession of numerous credit cards issued to others. Investigation continues.

THEFT: On 7/28/2012 at 5:59 pm, Trooper Oles responded to the 2100 block of Dasher Dr. in Lusby for a reported theft. An unknown suspect took the victim's iphone at a party. Investigation continues.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT/ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFICER: On 7/28/2012 at 11:30 pm, Senior Trooper Gill while working at the Holiday Inn in Solomons, was notified of a male, intoxicated and unconscious on the 3rd floor. While attempting to assist the subject, he awoke and became combative. While attempting to escort James A. Odell, 36 of Union Bridge, MD, he became aggressive, an assaulted the Trooper. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault of a police officer. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center. The Trooper was not injured.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 7/29/2012 at 2:29 am, Trooper First Class Casarella responded to the Fast Stop in Lusby for a reported disturbance. Justin A. Good, 21 of Indian Head, was found extremely intoxicated and walking in the roadway. He was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 7/29/2012 at 12:51 pm, Trooper Barlow responded to the 500 block of Garner Rd. in Lusby for a reported destruction of property. A rear tire was cut on the victim's vehicle. Investigation continues.

FALSE STATEMENT TO PEACE OFFICER: On 7/29/2012 at 8:43 pm, Trooper First Class Esnes stopped a vehicle on Rt. 231 near Prince Frederick Blvd. for traffic violations. A passenger gave false information regarding his identity. Through investigation, TFC Esnes was able to obtain the subject's identity. Shanta D. Johnson, 30 of Sunderland was placed under arrest and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

Donald A. BARNES, 38, of Prince Frederick, arrested on 7/29/2012 @ 10:11 pm , MD TPR. J. Oles
