MSP Reports for Calvert County

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (August 20, 2012)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BACK TO SCHOOL EQUALS SCHOOL BUS SAFETY: For millions of students the school day begins and ends with a trip on a school bus. The greatest risk is not riding the bus, but approaching or leaving the bus. Troopers are urging motorists to take extra care when driving in proximity to school buses. The reality is that motorists pose a greater threat to school bus students than they would ever have to face simply riding the bus. Here are a few reminders to help motorists keep our student safe this school year: BE ALERT & SLOW DOWN; Look for the flashing lights; Never pass on the right; walk the route with younger students; and reduce your distractions.
