MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (September 6, 2012)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, August 28, at 11:04am, TFC M. Moore served a Bench Warrant (T3-15587) on Tyrone Lamar Butler, 23, of California. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving an Uninsured Vehicle on July 11. Mr. Butler turned himself in to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, August 30, at 9:25pm, TFC R. Jackson served an Arrest Warrant (T3-15618) on Paul Edward Garrett II, 23, of Annapolis. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with the charge of Failure to Remain at Accident Scene on July 26. Mr. Garrett was located at an address in Clements and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Friday, August 31, at 7:25pm, Tpr. D. Buckalew responded to Wal-Mart located on Miramar Way in California for a reported theft. Upon his arrival to the area of Wal-Mart, Tpr. Buckalew observed a male fitting the description of the suspect who fled the scene once police were called. Tpr. Buckalew was able to positively identify the male as William Gary Milburn, 48, of Lexington Park. After speaking with Mr. Milburn, Tpr. Buckalew responded to Wal-Mart to make contact with the Loss Prevention Officer. After positive identification was made, Mr. Milburn was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 1ST DEGREE: On Sunday, September 2, at 1:32am, Tpr. Couter responded to the Marriott Town Place Suites, located on Three Notch Road in Lexington Park for a reported assault. Upon arrival, Tpr. Couter made contact with Dejwana Shonta Chavers, 30, of Cleveland, Ohio, who stated that her boyfriend pushed her to the ground and was yelling at her. Tpr. Couter then made contact with her boyfriend, 30, of Maple Heights, Ohio, who stated that they were arguing and that Ms. Chavers had cut him with a knife that she had retrieved from the kitchen in the hotel room. Tpr. Couter observed that lacerations on his arm. After speaking to both parties and a witness, Tpr. Couter arrested Ms. Chavers and transported her to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, September 3, at 11:50am, TFC E. Page served a Bench Warrant (T3-156523) on Jamakah R. Crockett, 22, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Possession of CDS on August 2. Ms. Crockett was located during a routine traffic stop. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, September 4, at 4:30pm, TFC M. Moore served a Bench Warrant (T3-15661) on Michelle Lee Briscoe, 43, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving While Suspended on August 29. Ms. Briscoe was located at her residence and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, September 4, at 9:25pm, Cpl. M. Laney served an Arrest Warrant (T3-15665) on James Stephen Gass, Jr., 20, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Second Degree Burglary on September 4. Mr. Gass was located at his residence and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, September 5, at 11:02am, TFC M. Pitcher served a Bench Warrant (T3-15651) on Jonathan Christian Gardner, 21, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Second Degree Assault on August 17. Mr. Gardner was located at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
