Riseling Emerges as Chesapeake Hills' Top Player

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. –– Keyan Riseling can now call himself Chesapeake Hills Golf Course’s club champion.

Riseling, a 17-year-old student at Patuxent High School, shot 77 and 67 for a two-day total of 144 during the Chesapeake Hills Club Championship tournament Aug. 18 and 19. The tournament is an annual competition to determine the course’s best player.

Chuck Seward finished second in the tournament; Mike Lemieux won the Men’s Net Division; Dan Cannon won the Senior Division; and Jesse Sampson finished second in the Senior Division.

There is still plenty of great golf to come this season, including the Chesapeake Hills Glow Ball Tournament, set for Sept. 22. Play begins at 5 p.m. and continues into the night with use of flow-in-the-dark golf balls. The event includes dinner and prizes. Entry deadline is Sept. 17. Chesapeake Hills also hosts ladies night every Monday featuring a nine-hole league with a shotgun start at 5 p.m.
