$49,000 Grant Awarded to St. Mary's Co. Gov. to Develop Economic 'Strategy'


CALLAWAY, Md. (Sept. 25, 2013)—Some federal tax dollars will be returned to the citizens of St. Mary's County in the form of a federal grant to the county government which will be used to perform a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The $49,000 grant was awarded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

According to Rep. S. Hoyer, The grant award and matching funds will help bring together public and private sectors in the creation of an economic development roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy.
